Advanced B Complex

35.60GBP

Updated on 21st November 2008 by Dr Charles Tweed

ADVANCED B COMPLEX is a vitamin b complex designed to take the metabolic, cognitive and overall health benefits of B vitamins to the next level. ADVANCED B COMPLEX contains Benfotiamine, a lipid-soluble form of B1 that is 5 times more bioavailable than other forms of thiamin, as well as Pantethine, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P) and Methylcobalamin, bio-active forms of vitamin B5, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 respectively.

90 X 618mg capsules of AOR's Advanced B Complex.

Recommended Dose: unless otherwise directed take 1-3 capsules per day. Active ingredients contained in 1 capsule:

55mg Benfotiamine
2.5mg B2 (Riboflavin)
115mg Niacin (from Inositol Hexanicotinate)
100mg Pantothenic Acid (Pantethine)
33mg B6 (Pyridoxal-5-phosphate)
647mcg B12 (Methylcobalamin)
800mcg Folic Acid
300mcg Biotin
200mg Choline (Bitartrate)
128mg Inositol (from Inositol Hexanicotinate)

At extremely high doses, vitamin B6 has been found to cause nerve damage. The Institute of Medicine has established a no adverse effects level (NOAEL) of 200 mg of Vitamin B6 per day, and a safe upper limit (UL) of 100mg per day. Do not exceed these limits from all vitamin B6 supplements (pyridoxine and Pyridox-amine) combined. Discontinue vitamin B6 supplementation and consult a physician immediately if you experience neurological symptoms such as numbness, burning, pain, pricking, or tingling in your fingers or feet, or unusual clumsiness. Persons taking many drugs - including 5-fluorouracil, hydralazine, levodopa, nortriptyline, phenytoin, and tetracycline- should not take high dose vitamin B6 supplements.
