Curcuma longa is a high-potency standardised extract of curcuminoid complex from the Indian spice turmeric (Curcuma longa linn). Research supports the wide ranging properties of the curcuminoids - and curcumin in particular. They are considered to be amongst the most potent of antioxidants and especially effective scavengers of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) of free radical. Curcumin has also been long used as a key botanical extract in Ayurveda, the traditional healthcare system of Ancient India. AOR's Curcuma longa is standardised to contain 95% curcuminoids, making it one of the most potent curcumin supplements available.
